We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR party groups who want short competitive activities for two to four players
- Solo VR players who prefer rotating trial sequences over a single campaign
- Friends or strangers using Steam and Oculus who want cross-platform multiplayer
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a continuous action campaign may stop at the board-game turns and separate minigames
- Players who want deep character progression may hit the wall at the Golden Sun and temple-finale structure
- Users without VR motion-controller hardware cannot use the minigame interactions
- Players seeking a large online community may find the format limited to two to four participants per tournament
Our take on Loco Dojo
The bounce point arrives when the board-game loop hands control to short motion-controller trials. Players looking for sustained action, detailed progression, or a conventional solo campaign may lose interest before reaching the temple showdown.
What is Loco Dojo?
Loco Dojo is a social VR party game built around a wooden board-game structure.
Players take turns spinning a dice wheel, moving around the dojo, collecting prizes, and triggering competitions from a set of 16 motion-controller minigames. Tournament mode supports two to four simultaneous players, including friends or strangers through cross-platform multiplayer between Steam and Oculus. A Solo Challenge mode presents a sequence of ten trials with changing conditions. Golden Suns earned during play open access to a temple finale, where players compete in an asymmetric showdown. The game also includes a voiced host character, 15 achievements, a wooden toy-style presentation, a soundtrack, and a SteamVR Home asset.
