Our take on Listeria Wars
The single-organism focus gives the game room to pair immune defense with a view of the host’s life, but limits the conflict to one infected body rather than a broader campaign.
What is Listeria Wars?
Listeria Wars is a real-time strategy game in which players defend one infected host against harmful microbes.
Different immune-cell types can be positioned across the body, then observed as they react to incoming threats and produce antibodies during the fight. A second viewing layer follows the person carrying the infection, showing how hygiene, eating spoiled food, and ignoring social-distancing practices affect events. The medical reference section describes immune-cell varieties, disease-causing organisms, and biological activity. Defensive upgrades can be added to strengthen the host’s immune response. Opposing organisms include microbes, viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. The central objective is to keep the infected host alive while repelling these attacks.
