Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat encounters will reach a wall because the garden has no enemies.
- Players who want urgent objectives or pressure during production may disengage when they encounter the absence of time limits.
- Players looking for direct military tactics, character progression, or puzzle-solving will find the focus centered on ecosystem automation.
Our take on Proto Garden
The bounce point arrives for players who need external pressure to sustain a strategy game. Once the absence of enemies, grinding, and time limits becomes clear, progression depends on self-directed layout work and research rather than escalating threats or deadlines.
What is Proto Garden?
Build an ecosystem on a dead world using bees as conveyor belts.
Arrange flowers to supply, guide, and clone bees, then configure a hive to produce wax and honey. The game includes free placement and rearrangement, with tools for selecting, moving, copying, and pasting elements. Research expands the garden through a large progression tree that includes flowers, frogs, fungi, and other additions. There are no enemies, manual grinding, or time limits, so the focus stays on organizing production and growing the biosphere.
How Proto Garden plays
- 01Bee-Based Automation
- Flowers direct bee activity while the hive turns gathered resources into wax and honey.
- 02Ecosystem Research
- A broad research tree adds flowers, frogs, fungi, and other forms of life.
- 03Free Layout Editing
- Objects can be selected, repositioned, duplicated, and pasted while arranging the garden.
- 04Relaxed Factory Building
- The garden has no enemies, manual grinding, or time pressure.
