Our take on Lightning Katana
Health recovery is tied to successful parries, making defensive timing a central part of surviving the fast first-person combat.
What is Lightning Katana?
Lightning Katana is a first-person action game built around rapid movement, sword attacks, gunfire, bullet parries, and dodge rolls.
Players fight through a Neo-Nippon yakuza stronghold while pursuing the Ryujin Ichizoku and avenging Dogsuke. Successful parries can restore health, while empowered enemies grant temporary abilities such as a lightning bolt or wind-based attacks. Each hand-crafted level introduces a different mechanic or combat idea, including rapid use of abilities and kicking molotovs at enemies. Kill chains produce S, SS, and P ranks, with Schmunny available for buying new levels. Gauntlet Mode awards Bones for Hub decorations. The game focuses on mastering fast combat encounters and earning high level grades.
