The bounce point is the Shadow Core itself: players must repeatedly place and use a temporary platform to gain height and cross terrain. Anyone looking for conventional jumping, fixed routes or combat-led progression may hit that movement system before the exploration and speedrun layers become relevant.
What is Light Fall?
Light Fall is a 2D platformer set in Numbra, a dark world facing an imminent threat.
The player controls the Shadow Core, a magical box that can appear beneath the character to launch upward, cross terrain and create routes through each area. Exploration covers the Lunar Plain, Marshlands of Sorrows, Vipera's Forest and the Unknown Depths, with alternate routes, shortcuts, hidden collectibles and easter eggs. Stryx, an owl companion, provides narration and commentary during the journey. A separate Speedrun Game Mode supports timed replays and online leaderboard comparisons with other players.
