StrategyIs Let's Build a Zoo worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Zoo-management fans who want to build and decorate a park rather than play a linear adventure
- Strategy players who enjoy balancing animal care, staff hiring, visitors, and park events
- Players who want to experiment with animal breeding and hybrid creation instead of managing a fixed collection
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the broad park-management structure less focused.
- Players who prefer a small, fixed animal roster may find the large collection and hybrid-breeding systems too expansive.
- Players looking for combat-centered gameplay will find park operations, breeding, and visitor management instead.
Our take on Let's Build a Zoo
The game trades a tightly directed progression structure for broad control over zoo operations, decoration, breeding, staffing, and animal creation. That breadth can make the experience feel less focused than a game built around one central management layer.
What is Let's Build a Zoo?
Build and decorate a zoo with enclosures, buildings, paths, foliage, and other park decorations.
Acquire, import, breed, and care for more than 500 animals while managing keepers, veterinarians, and other employees. Visitor satisfaction, animal needs, feeding choices, and unusual events shape daily park operations. A DNA-splicing system allows animals to be combined into more than 300,000 possible types, including fictional hybrids. The zoo can be operated within the law or through activities intended to generate extra cash. Breeding creates animal families, while imported creatures expand the collection and fill available enclosures. Management also covers staff hiring, animal diets, enclosure design, and the events that occur throughout the park.
