Our take on Left-Hand Path
Its defining detail is gesture-controlled magic in room-scale VR: spells require physical hand movements, while combat also calls for ducking and dodging.
What is Left-Hand Path?
Left-Hand Path is a room-scale virtual reality RPG set in a strange magical world.
Players learn hand gestures for casting spells, perform rituals influenced by historical Hermetic magic, and fight dangerous creatures with physical movement and arcane abilities. Combat involves ducking, dodging, and outmanoeuvring enemies, while exploration leads through eerie landscapes, hidden areas, and a history shaped by greed, tragedy, sacrifice, and power. Fallen foes leave Husks that can be gathered to gain power and unlock abilities. The game offers more than 15 hours of single-player, VR-exclusive content, with voice acting and animated sequences. Teleport-style and sliding-style locomotion are supported, alongside left-handed play, Low-Terror and Story Modes, and an optional mode without spider-like enemies.
