Our take on Last Drop
The open-world format trades a tightly controlled sequence of encounters for freedom across towns, activities, and changing daily routines. Its focus on unarmed duels also leaves out gun-based action, making combat narrower while supporting a dedicated fighting system.
What is Last Drop?
In 1994 Finland, Seppo “Zeze” Sahtivaara navigates a narrative-led action adventure drawn from real-life events and genuine Finnish settings.
The sandbox covers Nykylä and surrounding towns, allowing travel by vintage car or bicycle, employment, pub visits, and free exploration. Fights are weapon-free one-on-one bouts built around a combat-game system, with additional techniques picked up through VHS action films. Zeze’s health, power, agility, and endurance can grow, alongside management of belongings, cash, and intoxication. Film-like scenes advance the story, while the clock, weather, and opening hours shape activity throughout the town.
How Last Drop plays
- 01Unarmed 1v1 combat
- Fights use a skill-based system without guns, and additional moves come from watching VHS action movies.
- 02Open-world activities
- The setting offers retro cars, bikes, jobs, a pub, and towns to explore.
- 03Character progression
- Zeze’s health, strength, agility, and stamina can be improved alongside inventory, money, and drunkenness management.
- 04Dynamic town routines
- Daylight, weather, and the in-game clock affect the environment and when shops open or close.
