Skip it if you…

Our take on Laser Ball
The compact arcade loop centers on aiming, matching colors, and delivering balls, leaving little room for exploration or mission variety. Its rising chaos adds pressure to the same core task rather than introducing a broader set of activities.
What is Laser Ball?
Laser Ball is a retro-style action arcade game set in a hazardous electric company.
The player is the last employee left after bouncing balls enter a short-circuited panel. Rotate a laser gun around the room and shoot balls that match the border color. A neutralized ball turns white, making it safe to touch, collect, and place in the deposit basket. The pace becomes more chaotic as play progresses. Movement uses WASD or arrow keys, or a controller’s left stick. Mouse buttons or controller inputs rotate the gun. The space bar fires and deposits collected balls; on a controller, the A button performs both actions. The game recreates an action title published in Compute! magazine in October 1985.
How Laser Ball plays
- 01Color-Matching Shots
- A shot must match the ball’s color to the border color.
- 02Ball Collection
- Only a neutralized white ball is safe to pick up and carry to the deposit basket.
- 03Increasing Chaos
- The action grows more chaotic as the player progresses.
- 04Controller Support
- The left stick moves the character, while controller inputs rotate the gun and the A button fires or deposits balls.
