Our take on Land War
The focus on quick, local territory contests keeps the controls accessible, but it also leaves little room for campaign structure or evolving player abilities. The game trades broader progression systems for matches that can be started, finished, and handed to a new group quickly.
What is Land War?
Land War is a local multiplayer strategy game for up to eight players.
Each participant begins as a square in open territory and expands by moving vertically or horizontally, claiming nearby spaces. Encounters between opposing squares can produce a stalemate, while a player exposed during a turn can be defeated. Matches last about 10 minutes, supporting quick player changes during group sessions. The game includes more than 30 maps, four game-mode settings, and two bot difficulty levels. Up to eight controllers can be used simultaneously, while two people can play on one keyboard with separate control schemes. The structure combines minimal movement controls with territory positioning and timing.
