Our take on Ladder it Up!
The page foregrounds difficulty and perseverance, but the game changes substantially by mode: the beginner setting removes collectibles and ladder customization, while Hard removes checkpoints and recovery points. The advertised variety therefore depends on the chosen difficulty.
What is Ladder it Up!?
Climb toward a tower using a ladder across crystal caves, volcanic areas, icy crevices, and other environments.
The normal route contains 12 sub-levels, plus a hidden level with a different reward and setting. Three difficulty modes change route length, checkpoints, ladder recovery, hazards, collectibles, and customization. The beginner mode offers a shorter route, frequent ladder retrieval, many checkpoints, and safer lava interactions. Medium adds consumable crystals, secrets, collectibles, rewards, and ladder customization.
Hard removes checkpoints, crystals, and ladder recovery points, requiring a complete restart after each failure. Hidden items unlock ladder visuals. The game includes 4 basic ladders, 5 discoverable ladders, and 3 earned through level completion. Completion times are recorded by difficulty, with leaderboards showing the fastest time for each level.
