Our take on Labyronia RPG
The game departs from a strictly linear JRPG structure by allowing partly non-linear progression through a large world. Its Cue system also turns environmental abnormalities into skill discoveries and a collection objective alongside temple travel and boss battles.
What is Labyronia RPG?
Labyronia RPG follows an effort to uncover the origins of mysterious creatures that have invaded the world.
Some believe the creatures are gods punishing humanity, while others consider them invaders from beyond the stars. Players travel across a harsh landscape to temples that appeared 50 years earlier, searching for secrets connected to defeating the creatures. Progression is partly non-linear across a large world. The Cue system rewards finding abnormalities with skills and provides a goal of collecting every Cue. Combat includes strategic boss battles, visible enemies in most areas, and limited random encounters on the world map, where encounters can usually be avoided. The game also includes colorful visuals, original monsters, an emotional storyline, and challenges against four elemental gods.
