The difficulty choice trades combat flexibility for severity: Normal Mode includes two levels of attack charging, while Hard Mode removes that option and doubles the damage Krystal receives.
What is Krystal the Adventurer?
A wizard’s magic sword burns down Krystal’s home in the Forest, sending her on a quest to confront him.
Her route includes the Forest, Beach, Ice Mountain, and Castle worlds. The Beach contains Wet Walkway and Undersea Ruins; Ice Mountain has Snowy Stride and Frozen Cave; and the Castle includes The Basement and The Tower. Normal Mode allows attacks to charge twice, producing larger and stronger shots. Hard Mode doubles the damage Krystal takes and removes attack charging.
