What is Knock-knock?
In a remote cabin once used as both home and laboratory, the latest Lodger notices missing objects, strange sounds, and an unwelcome presence after dark.
Each night, the Lodger explores rooms, attics, and cellars while avoiding nightmare-like inhabitants and trying to remain sane until morning. The house can be repaired and kept in order, while searching reveals clues about the Lodger’s lost possession and the events affecting the cabin and forest. Progress depends on observing surroundings, listening carefully, inspecting details, and learning the rules governing the nightly encounters. The story also questions whether the Guests are real or products of an insomniac mind.
