The game combines racing circuits and boss fights within an adventure journey through cyberspace. Its matter-shifting mechanic also changes how movement works: one form emphasizes acceleration and top speed, while the other slows time and increases maneuverability.
What is Kitten Burst?
Kitten Burst follows Hapi, a down-on-their-luck racing cat, and hacker S4br as they travel through abandoned web sites aboard the cybership The Eternal September.
Players fly through levels and generate Burst energy by passing close to walls and obstacles. Racing circuits award more IONs for faster times. Boss encounters call for surviving attacks long enough to drain each opponent’s energy. Hapi can switch between solid and liquid forms. Solid form increases acceleration and top speed, while liquid form slows time and increases maneuverability. Set in the year 200X, the story follows the team as they gather energy to power their ION Drive and oppose megacorp PANDO’s control of cyberspace.
