Our take on Kitsune Tails
The platforming focus comes with a trade-off: story and character relationships sit alongside movement challenges, while the game does not center on a broader range of genres or play styles.
What is Kitsune Tails?
Play as a young kitsune delivering a message on a journey through a setting inspired by Japanese mythology.
Run, jump, and dash across five elemental worlds and haunted houses, using outfits that grant powers and a giant boot taken from enemies. The story follows relationships between kitsune and humans, including a sorceress love interest and a childhood friend who becomes an antagonist. In haunted houses, carry lights to reveal hidden doors and keep ghosts away. Kick curled-up pangos, collect coins and power-ups through minigames, and buy additional power-ups at a shop. A bonus world with kaizo levels follows the credits. The game also includes tools for creating custom levels and Lua-scripted minigames.
