Our take on Kingsvein
The defining detail is that exploration and combat use the same kinds of abilities: magic can freeze rivers or open routes, while battlefield powers combine hazards such as spikes, electricity, and fire.
What is Kingsvein?
Investigate the lost castle-city of Kingsvein as the Wisp Slayer, riding a wyvern through its depths and outer reaches.
Lead a customizable party of Knights and Mystics in tactical battles that combine hazards and elemental effects, including spikes, electricity, and fire. Build the party from 16 classes, each with upgradeable abilities and equippable passive skills. Exploration also uses character powers: magic can freeze rivers, blasts can break through cave walls, and chains can topple statues. Secret treasures and hostile creatures are scattered throughout the castle. The game is set in Graven, an underground realm of living soil and half-stone Diecast. The wyvern can be ridden during travel and combat, then trained alongside the party.
How Kingsvein plays
- 01Class-based party building
- Sixteen classes offer different upgradeable abilities and passive equipment choices for the party.
- 02Terrain-based abilities

- 03Wyvern companion
- The mount travels into and out of combat and can be trained alongside the party.
- 04Environmental combat effects
- Battles can combine hazards and elemental effects, such as throwing enemies onto spikes before electrifying them.
