Our take on KingSim
The premise emphasizes ruling a kingdom and making consequential choices, but the experience also includes woodcutting, mining, market trading, and dice. The royal-management framing may therefore give less attention to the separate minigames that form part of the play structure.
What is KingSim?
Rule a small kingdom after the previous king's death while facing invasion, weak finances, low morale, and possible assassins.
Decisions shape the story, affect relationships with characters, and can lead to one of dozens of endings, including death. The kingdom's Army, Food, Gold, Faith, Happiness, and Health require management. Available actions include trading, raising an undead army, forming alliances, and executing subjects. Minigames cover cutting wood, mining gold, market trading, and a dice game involving the princess. Repeated attempts allow different choices and outcomes as each story ends.
