Our take on Kinacoustic
The store page gives equal weight to composition, Workshop content, Trading Cards, and Platformer Mode, but the central activity remains arranging falling Drops on lines. The platformer feature is an additional mode, not the main game structure.
What is Kinacoustic?
Compose songs by placing colored Note Lines and bouncing melodic Drops onto them.
Line colors and lengths set notes across seven octaves, including sharp, flat, and natural variants. Drop Emitters and the Clock control instrument choice and rhythm, while line thickness changes volume. Sustain Orbs alter how long notes continue. A drag box copies, pastes, and moves sections of a composition, and global gravity changes the falling speed of all Drops. The game includes an in-game tutorial based on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, a PDF manual, a resizable window, and Steam Workshop support for sound packs and user-created content. Platformer Mode turns placed lines into surfaces for running, jumping, and building 2D levels.
