Our take on Killing Floor: Incursion
Its focus on VR combat and a five-stage narrative leaves less room for a wide-ranging campaign structure. Replay value comes mainly from cooperative returns and the endless Holdout mode rather than a large story footprint.
What is Killing Floor: Incursion?
Killing Floor: Incursion is a VR action adventure with a five-stage, fully voiced story campaign and an additional endless Holdout mode.
It supports solo play and cooperative play with one partner across Story and Holdout. Players travel through five environments, including training facilities and trailer parks, while investigating Horzine Corporation and the Zed threat. Combat uses firearms and melee weapons such as pistols, shotguns, axes, and sniper rifles. Different Zeds use varied movement, weapons, strengths, and weaknesses. Holdout sends progressively tougher groups of Zeds until the player is overwhelmed, while adding a weapon, power-ups, and other mechanics. The game also includes dismemberment and options for Espire Control Theater and Free Move.

Killing Floor: Incursion compared to similar games
Abyssus also centers on multiplayer shooting, but it uses a roguelite structure with hand-crafted levels, brine-powered weapons, and weapon refitting through ancient technologies. Killing Floor: Incursion instead combines a five-stage voiced campaign with cooperative Story and Holdout modes, varied VR controls, and an endless survival mode.
