Boss and zombie stages award gold, which can be collected to buy characters and weapons in their respective shops. Battles use pixel characters and include different weapons; players move with W, A, S, and D, fire with the mouse, and reload automatically. Red potions restore health, while blue potions grant XP for leveling up. The game also includes level progression, post-level bonuses and stats, and an online scoreboard for rooms. Boss mode has multiple levels, including a final level with a surprise.
