Our take on Kennedy Approach
Rather than presenting aviation through piloting or airport management, this simulation makes traffic coordination the entire play structure. Its central challenge is arranging routes, altitude, timing, and separation under growing airspace pressure.
What is Kennedy Approach?
Kennedy Approach is an air traffic control simulation in which aircraft arrive, request departures, and follow assigned routes to landing or exit points.
The player decides when planes may take off or land, maintains separation, and directs traffic around storms, mountains, and restricted zones. Aircraft include slow planes, fast jets, and the supersonic Concorde. Early stages contain only a few aircraft, while later stages increase the traffic load. Progression begins with the graveyard shift at Atlanta International before moving to prime-time operations at John F. Kennedy International. The remake retains the original gameplay, adds support for larger screen resolutions, and includes five fan-made maps: Hongkong, London, Chicago, Roanoke, and Orlando. A keyboard is required, while mouse commands are also available.
