Our take on Kakuriyo Village ~Moratorium of Adolescence~
Players who want to follow the story without managing a central secret may hit the wall when Hinori’s identity becomes the village’s defining rule. The escape premise requires attention to her disguise, while the later choice about returning home or staying creates the main emotional fork.
What is Kakuriyo Village ~Moratorium of Adolescence~?
Ao and Hinori, childhood friends who meet again six months later, accidentally enter Kakuriyo Village, a community where men and women have unequal social status.
Because Hinori looks boyish, residents mistake her for a boy. The pair must conceal her sex while searching for a way out, under a rule forbidding anyone from disguising their physical gender. After asking a shrine maiden for help, they learn that returning home could permanently separate them.
The story follows their year in a cyclical village that does not age or die, with choices determining their fate. Players can explore the village from morning through night across four seasons, meet more than 20 voiced residents, and experience 200 voiced scenes. The listed playtime is over 20 hours.
