Our take on Kabounce
The store page gives substantial attention to customization and large numerical claims, while the core play is organized around short 5-minute matches and timed challenge courses. Ranked play is also presented as largely a rating and icon system rather than a separate competitive format.
What is Kabounce?
Kabounce is an action sports game in which players control pinballs through momentum- and rhythm-based movement.
Online matches support up to 8 players in 4-versus-4 teams, with players collecting points from bumpers, using abilities, performing spinning moves, and eliminating opponents to take their scores. Matches last 5 minutes. Local play supports up to 4 people on split screen, and PlayStation 4 and Steam players can use cross-play. Single-player time attacks include more than 50 parkour challenges, where players race against ghosts, earn medals and developer stars, and compete on leaderboards. Players can also customize their pinballs with combinations of paints, eyewear, accessories, hats, horns, and hair.
