Our take on Iwaihime
The story places a curse mystery inside a school-centered ensemble rather than treating supernatural horror as an isolated haunting. Classes, family expectations, friendships, and idol work sit alongside the unsettling doll and its rumored curse.
What is Iwaihime?
Iwaihime is a supernatural horror visual novel about curses, wrongdoing, revenge, and atonement.
Suzumu Susuhara moves away from home to build self-reliance while studying at high school. There, he encounters relatives, fellow students, an idol, and Toé Kurokami, an enigmatic girl who keeps a Japanese doll pressed to her chest. Rumors claim the doll’s hair grows when nobody is watching, and that it carries a curse.
Their meeting begins a chain of fateful events surrounding the doll and its supernatural influence. The story also features a school nurse, Suzumu’s best friend, and other members of the school community. Released internationally on PC, this edition revises parts of the scenarios and updates the CG artwork compared with earlier console versions, reflecting the author’s favored form of the story.
