Our take on Induction
Induction’s focus on abstract rules and timeline coordination leaves less room for other kinds of play. Its minimalist presentation also places the emphasis on puzzle logic and ambient music rather than visual detail.
What is Induction?
Induction is a minimalist puzzle game built around time travel and paradoxes.
It contains more than 50 puzzles in which players coordinate actions across several timelines and examine how past and future events affect each other. Some challenges can be solved through loops in which events cause themselves. Each puzzle introduces part of the game’s internal rules, which players discover by testing how those rules work. Minimalist graphics are accompanied by an ambient soundtrack from Melbourne electronic composer and radio broadcaster Tim Shiel.
