Our take on Hyper Gods
The focus on rapid one-on-one boss combat gives Hyper Gods a concentrated arcade structure, but leaves less room for the broader exploration and progression systems associated with larger adventure games.
What is Hyper Gods?
Hyper Gods is a 2D shoot’em up with a retro-influenced visual style and a science-fiction setting.
In 2066, humanity builds the Gorat Drifter after the Gods declare that the species’ role in the universe is over. The player pilots this spacecraft in rapid one-on-one battles against the Gods, using dodges, boosts, and weapons while defending humanity. The game includes a single-player Arcade Mode, local multiplayer, leaderboards, and statistics. Its story presents the Gorat Drifter as humanity’s final weapon and the player as its last pilot.
