We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy puzzle simulations centered on deciding which characters are impostors
- Players who prefer narrative games with choices about a protagonist’s family and future
- Players interested in fictional immigration work rather than open-ended simulation
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking continuous action may find the inspection-and-dialogue structure slow-paced.
- Those wanting a broad management simulation may find the focus on passenger checks and Noah’s personal choices narrow.
Our take on Human or Not
The premise centers on detecting aliens, but the game also gives space to Noah’s personal decisions between shifts. It is not only a sequence of passenger checks: the story’s direction and multiple endings are part of its stated scope.
What is Human or Not?
Human or Not is a puzzle simulation about Noah Stevenson, an immigration officer on a future Earth.
During shifts, inspect arriving passengers using different methods and decide whether each is human or an alien. Some aliens are unwelcome and may impersonate humans, making identification part of the job. Between shifts, speak with characters, including Noah’s sister, and make decisions about his personal life. Noah needs money to reunite with her in a human colony in space, and the story asks whether he will leave Earth or choose another path. The game includes multiple endings. Listed activities include earning cash, riding the tram for free, and paying for space flights.
