Our take on Hospital 9
The exploration-first design reduces combat variety, while the absence of save and load functionality limits how flexibly the game can be played. RINA's guidance and the hospital setting provide structure, but the experience is centered on reaching one final scene rather than repeated experimentation.
What is Hospital 9?
Hospital 9 is a first-person adventure focused on exploration rather than frequent combat.
The player investigates a hospital, searches for keys and clues, opens rooms, operates switches, and progresses toward the final scene. RINA, a female companion, follows the player and uses an LED light to illuminate the surroundings. When she finds something, the player can direct her to that location. The game includes a fixed inventory, recovery items, a handgun, a zombie ghost enemy, and room-specific environmental interactions such as moving drawers and removing wood.
It has no jumpscares and does not include save or load functionality. A light version requires 4 GB of storage and removes some effects, levels, and objects. The package also includes a soundtrack and two DLC games.
