Our take on Horror Tycoon
Rather than treating horror as a setting for a conventional management game, it makes fear the operating metric. Attraction layout, repeated scares, visitor tolerance, reputation, and even investigations all become parts of the business cycle.
What is Horror Tycoon?
Horror Tycoon combines haunted-attraction construction, management, and tower-defense elements.
Players create mazes with walls, entrances, trap doors, false walls, rooms, and ready-made sections. Decorations include lighting, paintings, props, and selectable colors. Scare devices range from ghosts to aliens, while repeated or closely grouped attractions can reduce their effect. Visitors arrive in waves, with glowsticks indicating how much more they can endure. Earnings and fear reputation support new attractions and progression to different locations. Later play introduces sinister traps that can make guests disappear, along with investigations managed through hired security and lawyers. Locations include a backyard haunt, forest, old factory, abandoned schoolhouse, abandoned amusement park, and lake.
