Our take on Holy Shoot
Rather than offering a grim depiction of Hell, the game combines rapid first-person shooting with comedy, oddball heroes, and a social HUB. Its run-based structure replaces a conventional fixed campaign with changing layouts and between-run upgrades.
What is Holy Shoot?
Holy Shoot is a fast-paced roguelite first-person shooter set in a satirical version of Hell.
Players begin as Supersonic Samuel, a Sanctum warrior, and fight through levels themed around the Deadly Sins. Randomized layouts contain traps, demons, explosive hazards, and unusual bosses, giving each run a different structure. Perks can be selected during a run, while currencies fund permanent improvements at the HUB. Additional heroes, including Toshiko Techno, can be unlocked, with each character offering different strengths. The HUB includes quirky NPCs and provides a place to regroup between attempts. Weapons range from shotguns to nail-firing rifles and grenade launchers. Hand-painted environments and comic-style effects support the game's comedic tone.
