Our take on High Cats
The bounce point arrives when catnip appears: players must complete a changing button sequence quickly while keeping pace with the chase. A missed input can let the tuna escape, so groups that find timed inputs frustrating may hit a wall during the central pursuit mechanic.
What is High Cats?
High Cats is a local multiplayer PC platformer for one to four players.
Cats run and jump through levels in Feline Forest, Cat City, and the Siberian Suburbs while pursuing a tuna can. Catnip gives cats a speed boost, but players must complete randomly generated button sequences quickly to eat it and pass it on. Mistakes can let the tuna escape, while leaving the screen causes a cat to die. Levels include traps and area-specific features, encouraging players to plan who will catch the tuna. Single-player and cooperative modes are included, along with full controller support. The four cats have different personalities and share nine lives.
