Our take on Heroes of Umbra
Rather than using a purely solo RPG structure, the game combines a side-scrolling adventure with network multiplayer and a solo option. Its central setting also gives platforming a substantial role through four major dungeons, alongside combat and exploration.
What is Heroes of Umbra?
Heroes of Umbra is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG set on the mysterious Archaleon Island.
Players take the role of a former assassin who loses their memories after a flash of light during a mission involving a murderer known as The Apprentice. The game combines platforming with dungeon exploration, combat, enemies, maps, and equipment to discover. Four major dungeons provide platforming challenges. Players can connect with friends over a network or play in single-player mode. The story follows the effort to recover the original mission and stop the killer before he reaches his target. Its gameplay is presented as similar to games such as MapleStory and Diablo.
