Our take on Heroes of Three Kingdoms
The game gives up immediate, low-commitment play in favor of layered tactical rules, a long story, and character development. That trade-off may suit players who want planning and replayable battles, but it adds more systems to learn before every combat option feels familiar.
What is Heroes of Three Kingdoms?
This turn-based war chess game follows a Shu Han story during the late Eastern Han period.
Players recruit more than 100 generals, gain experience through combat, improve abilities, and collect equipment and props. General transfers, talents, professions, passive effects, and special attacks support different team compositions. Battles use selectable levels, adjustable difficulty, terrain effects, weather changes, and many attack types. The campaign can be replayed at different difficulty settings without restarting from the beginning. The game includes more than 200 special effects and an AI system built from more than 50 behavior segments. A simple difficulty option is available for newcomers, while harder battles require careful move planning.
