Our take on Heroes of Legionwood
Rather than presenting one continuous campaign, the game divides its narrative into three standalone arcs that also connect into a larger adventure. Its role-playing structure adds tabletop-style checks and dice rolls to branching dialogue and turn-based combat, making decisions central to progression.
What is Heroes of Legionwood?
Heroes of Legionwood is an episodic RPG set a century after a malevolent force called the Darkness devastated human civilization.
As Locke, a young adventurer, players investigate the Darkness and decide whether Legionwood survives. The game combines western RPG elements with classic JRPG presentation and offers non-linear progression shaped by choices, dialogue options, skill checks, and dice rolls. Its three arcs—Age of Darkness, Resurrection, and End of Days—can each be played separately or as one larger adventure. Players choose a male or female protagonist, develop skills and talents, form relationships with reactive companions, and fight through strategic turn-based battles across three difficulty levels. Different decisions can lead to multiple endings.
