Our take on Heartspell: Horizon Academy
The game emphasizes choices that shape relationships and destinies, but those choices do not close off routes. That means the story offers decision-making without the route lockouts that can make replay part of exploring a branching visual novel.
What is Heartspell: Horizon Academy?
Heartspell: Horizon Academy is a magical dating game set at a school in the spirit realms.
A newly arrived student studies magic, forms connections with fellow pupils, and uncovers dangers threatening the academy. Eleven central characters have distinct art, performances, narratives, and gameplay systems. Relationships may be romantic or platonic, while decisions influence bonds and personal futures without closing off routes. Match-three puzzles gain new possibilities through spells taught by other students. Several difficulty settings include Story mode, which minimizes puzzle play, and Story mode supports screen readers. The game contains more than 20 hours of content that can be experienced without replaying to access different routes.
