Our take on Haunted: Attack of the Dead Men
Rather than using modern shooter movement and checkpoint conventions, the game returns to a stricter format: no reloading, no checkpoints, and no wall jumping or bunny hopping. Its campaign also replaces open-ended progression with a fixed sequence of fortress levels and score competition.
What is Haunted: Attack of the Dead Men?
This first-person shooter casts the player as a lone German soldier defending Osowiec fortress during a supernatural version of the Great War.
The single-player campaign spans 14 main levels and a secret level, with a stated runtime of more than 7 hours. Combat uses eight weapons, several with alternate firing modes, against groups of undead enemies with distinct attack patterns. The game follows an old-school shooter structure without reloading, checkpoints, wall jumping, or bunny hopping.
