Our take on Hard Helmets
The store copy emphasizes varied units, war bonds, upgrades, and PvP combat, but gives little sense of match structure or how progression works across repeated battles. The focus is on available battlefield options rather than the limits or depth of the overall campaign.
What is Hard Helmets?
Hard Helmets is a 2D real-time strategy game built around player-versus-player battles with World War II-inspired units.
Players command troops, defend facilities, and attack enemy positions while trying to capture the opposing flag. War bonds can call troops, support vehicles, rocket launchers, snipers, and other battlefield options. The troop chief is also an active character who can move, issue orders, and request parachuted support. Units have different strengths and weaknesses, while victories upgrade troops and their deployment speed. Missions award war medals that can be exchanged for vaults containing possible legendary war bonds. The game includes customizable chief skins, a selection of mortars, machine guns, grenade throwers, flamethrowers, attack troops, and anti-tank mines, plus an arcade-style 2D presentation.
