Our take on Haque
Permanent death is paired with memorial screens that preserve the identities of fallen characters, making each failed run part of the game's ongoing record.
What is Haque?
Haque is a glitch-fantasy roguelike adventure about cute monsters, pixelated hauntings, and a narrator who talks too much.
Players select a character and travel with a pet through forests, deserts, and dungeons while pursuing a quest to purge evil monsters. Maps and settings are procedurally generated, and turn-based battles focus on positioning and strategy. The game includes varied enemies, rotating bosses with distinct priorities, detailed statistics, armor slots, and hundreds of items for equipping, eating, or reanimating. Weapons and armor can be crafted, while new character quirks appear after each level. Characters can die permanently, with memorial screens recording them. The game contains flashing images and adult language.
