Our take on Gunnihilation
Its defining structure is a side-scrolling shooter that combines run-and-gun movement with arena-style enemy waves and pattern-based bosses.
What is Gunnihilation?
Gunnihilation is a 16-bit, dual-stick action game combining side-scrolling run-and-gun stages with arena-style shooting.
Players move through jungles, city ruins, laboratories, sewers, elevators and train yards while facing hundreds of enemies per level. Combat includes shooting, jumping, dodging, hammer attacks and circle-strafing. Screen-filling bosses use attack patterns that players must learn, while charging enemies and mechanized armies add further hazards. The game supports solo play and local co-op for up to four players. The current content includes ten festive Winter Gunderland levels, playable alone or cooperatively, along with weapons, missions, bosses, unlockable items and collectibles. The vendor also lists a level editor and Steam Workshop integration among planned Early Access additions.
