Rather than making martial-arts ability the main play mechanic, the game places its heiress protagonist in a diplomatic marriage plot. Clan conflict, romance choices, detective elements, and multiple endings replace a conventional combat-led fantasy structure.
What is Guardian of the future?
This fantasy visual novel follows Miyuri, heir to the Bakuto clan and a student of ancient martial arts.
After inheriting a mysterious ability from her late mother, she learns that her grandmother plans to marry her to the heir of the rival Tekiya clan. The marriage is intended to end the clans’ cold war while facing an evil threat. The story combines fantasy, detective, suspense, and romance elements over 13+ hours. Players can pursue relationships with four characters—three men and one woman—or finish without romance. Multiple endings shape the conclusion. The game includes 104 unlockable CGs, 44 frames, more than 10 animated chibi scenes, and an original soundtrack with more than 10 tracks.
