Our take on GROSS

The game asks players to divide attention between constructing defenses and fighting in person. That trade-off makes cash collection part of combat: focusing on enemies can leave money exposed, while pursuing pickups can distract from defending the base.

What is GROSS?

GROSS combines tower defense with first-person shooting.

During construction phases, players place barricades, turrets, and ground traps to shape enemy routes. Structures can be sold for a full refund before the next combat phase. Combat shifts to direct shooting against zombie waves, using more than a dozen weapons, different ammunition types, and active abilities for attacking, distracting enemies, moving, or managing resources. Defeated enemies drop cash, which players collect and secure for later purchases and score. Ammunition includes rounds that pierce targets, incendiary rounds, hollow points, grenades, and rockets; explosive weapons can also destroy cash pickups. Decisions during combat affect survival and the money available for the next construction phase.
