Our take on GIRLS MADE PUDDING
The travel-centered design gives up destination-driven momentum: progress depends on continuing along the road, managing daily hunger, and stopping at night rather than pursuing conventional action objectives.
What is GIRLS MADE PUDDING?
Sumibi and Nikomi travel by bike through a series of towns where people have disappeared.
Progress takes place during the journey: keeping the bike moving produces more dialogue and gradually reveals the world's mysteries. Ingredients found while traveling can be cooked into dishes, and eating those dishes opens new dialogue branches. Hunger increases over time, but the mechanic can be disabled in the difficulty settings. Night eventually ends each day's travel, requiring the girls to find an empty home and sleep until morning. The story begins with Sumibi's wish to eat a pudding again and follows the pair as they search for ingredients, meet people, and piece together what happened to the world.
