Our take on GhostCatcher
Rather than treating horror as a linear sequence of scares, the game combines haunted-house investigation with entity identification, rituals, changing map events, and capture objectives. Its kitten transformation also interrupts the expected tone by adding evasive movement, hidden-item discovery, and companion interaction.
What is GhostCatcher?
GhostCatcher is a cooperative horror game for 1 to 8 players.
Each session involves exploring haunted houses and other dungeons, opening new areas, finding clues, and investigating stories hidden across the map. Players identify spiritual entities, perform rituals, confront them, and capture them. Entities, cursed objects, relics, and map events vary between entries. Players can also transform into kittens, using special vision to locate hidden items and interact with companions. Exploration unlocks broader activity areas, additional gameplay, achievements, and special rewards. Locations include distinct environments such as farms, with an amusement park identified as upcoming. Character presentation includes demons, nuns, pharaohs, and mix-and-match customization.
