Our take on Garshasp: The Monster Slayer
The epic framing puts Garshasp and Persian mythology at the center, but the playable scope is narrower: melee combat, platforming, exploration, upgrades, and quick-time events. The mythic setting supplies the context rather than replacing those core mechanics.
What is Garshasp: The Monster Slayer?
Play as Garshasp, a hero from Persian mythology, on a quest to recover his ancestors’ mace after the Deevs steal it.
The Deevs are monsters who once served Azhi Dahaka and have risen across the ancient lands of Khunirath. Gameplay combines melee combat, platforming, and exploration. Combat includes various combo moves and abilities that can be upgraded throughout the game. Garshasp also uses a special hand blade in intense encounters built around quick-time events. A Rage attribute lets him slash more enemies as they inflict additional scars. The journey through a mythological world populated by monsters also reveals hidden mysteries, with an in-game camera following the hero through its environments.
