Our take on GALAK-Z
Rather than treating space combat as straightforward shooting, the game combines stealth, enemy coordination, and physics-based ship handling. Its roguelike mission structure also puts progress at risk, while Arcade Mode offers checkpoints as an alternate way to replay failures.
What is GALAK-Z?
GALAK-Z is a 2D space combat action game set in procedurally generated worlds, with anime-inspired spacecraft and enemies driven by artificial intelligence and physics.
Combat combines stealth, missiles, direct attacks, and the ability to throw opponents to their destruction. Scripted missions use a roguelite structure, while Rogue Mode keeps the original high-risk format in which each mission puts progress on the line. Arcade Mode adds per-mission checkpoints, allowing failed missions to be replayed without losing all saved progress. A resource-based weapon system provides progression. The Void DLC adds endless gameplay, online leaderboards, and a daily worldwide scoring challenge. The game also includes Juan from Guacamelee as an enemy unit.
