Our take on Frozen Synapse
The defining mechanic is simultaneous execution: both sides plan squad orders, then those commands play out together after Prime is activated.
What is Frozen Synapse?
Frozen Synapse is a tactical strategy game for PC and Mac based on simultaneous turns.
Players issue detailed orders, test possible moves, and activate Prime to execute both sides’ turns at the same time. The game includes a 55-mission single-player campaign with dynamic dialogue and a near-future narrative, along with five multiplayer modes, including the bidding-based Secure and Hostage Rescue modes. A skirmish generator provides additional tactical scenarios. Randomly generated elements are combined with hand-crafted content, so levels and maps vary between matches. The game also includes 15 Steam Achievements, integrated IRC chat, community features, and Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube integration. Each purchase includes a free full copy for a friend.
