Our take on Fossil Corner
The focused garage setting trades broad adventure or simulation systems for a slower loop of collecting specimens, arranging displays, and solving evolutionary puzzles. That narrow structure supports its calm atmosphere but leaves less room for action, competition, or varied objectives.
What is Fossil Corner?
Fossil Corner casts the player as a retired paleontologist working from an old garage.
The game combines fossil collecting with procedurally generated puzzles built from shells, trilobites, and crinoids. Each puzzle presents fossils that belong to a complete family tree, which players unscramble by examining changes across generations. Collected specimens can be displayed around the room, while randomly generated species create many possible collection variations. An in-game computer supports emailing friends, and the setting includes window views with the sounds of fall. The game also includes an original soundtrack by Dylan Payne and Bobby Volpendesta, plus Species Codes for sharing fossils with friends.
