Our take on Floppy Knights
Rather than separating tactical movement from card play, the game makes the deck part of each battlefield decision. Units can create cards during combat, so positioning and faction choice interact with the draw cycle instead of following a standard fixed-ability structure.
What is Floppy Knights?
Floppy Knights combines turn-based tactics with deckbuilding.
Players choose from several Knights, build faction-based decks, and use card combinations to direct battles. Each unit has its own playstyle and can create special cards during combat. The Plants deck focuses on upgrading abilities, healing allies, and using terrain; the Monsters deck adds armor and trades health for buffs; the Hooligans deck emphasizes stealth, poison, and speed. Battles take place in a hand-drawn fantasy world of vegetation, volcanoes, icy caves, and foggy forests. The story follows Phoebe, an inventor seeking money to move out of her parents’ home, with help from Carlton, her robot-arm companion.

Floppy Knights compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines turn-based combat with deckbuilding, but it centers on upgrading attack tiles, timing attacks, and roguelike progression. Floppy Knights instead uses selectable units, faction decks, terrain advantages, and cards generated by individual units. Xenonauts focuses on commanding persistent squads during a Cold War alien invasion, with military operations and technology recovery rather than fantasy units and faction-based card play.
