Our take on Flock of Dogs
The likely bounce point is the progression system: players who expect each participant to maintain separate advancement may hit a wall when joining and leaving is built around shared dog and whale progress.
What is Flock of Dogs?
Flock of Dogs is a top-down cooperative roguelike set on a flying whale traveling toward the Flying Festival.
Players ride flying dogs through a hand-drawn, procedurally generated sky, battle monsters, assist creatures encountered along the route, and enter caves for boss fights against Cave Beasts. The whale serves as a mobile battle station. Dogs can be fed, watered, and leveled up during the journey. Cooperative play supports 1–8 players online or locally, including shared-keyboard play for two people. Players may join or leave during a session because progression centers on the dogs and whale. Dog-park minigames provide additional activities. An included Friend Slot lets one online friend join through the separate Friend’s Pass.
